Testimonials

I recently joined demi international to continue my hairdressing apprenticeship and it was the best decision i ever made. from the first time i met my trainer sam she made me feel so comfortable and started to get me back on track with training. In the time she has been my trainer I have become so much more confident and performing amazing work all taught from sam in the salon!! she shows she genuinely cares about hairdressing and her students which hasn’t been shown by other trainers iv had. Although i was nervous to join Demi it was definitely the best decision i have made with my career and it’s all thanks to my amazing trainer sam, i couldn’t ask for anyone better!

My passion is definitely in the education sector, I love to teach hair but also to help others with my stories and knowledge I have gathered along the way.

I’ve been hairdressing since I was 16 I started working for a large  franchise in London to becoming their salon trainer training apprentices and employees, then I branched out to owning 2 salons of my own and then moved my family out to this beautiful country and have been training students here for the last 12 years, I am excited to take you on  this journey with Demi international to include fun and education and prove you can succeed in taking your dreams anywhere even the other side of the world

Christy Massey

I didn’t know I wanted to be a hairdresser but I was always doing my hair and my sisters and friends’ hair growing up. My mum came home from a salon that was looking for a junior to wash hairs on Saturdays and said that I would be great at it, so next thing I know she was driving me to the salon to start my first day and 25 years later I still love this trade. I started my career in Sydney and have worked in a variety of salons including my own and the most memorable moments are the friendships I have made with both clients and coworkers. Going to expos and award shows together and being able to share my passion and excitement for hair with others, I really feel privileged.

I love being able to share the knowledge I’ve gained with my students. I take tremendous pride in inspiring young hairdressers and the best thing about my job is the chance to give back to the industry that has given me so much throughout my life. In the classroom I love creating an environment that is inclusive to everyone, I want them to support each other through the highs and lows and be able to look back at this time with pride in themselves for finishing the course. I get great joy from mentoring apprentices and helping them grow into capable and confident professionals. Nothing is more satisfying than seeing a past student succeed. To get a job in the industry, somewhere that they can pursue what inspires them most in hairdressing

Sam Seibold – Administration

I have worked in the Vocational Education and Training sector since 1998, commencing in administration for the first meat processing RTO in Queensland.  I then spent 18 years working for the same privately owned RTO in Rockhampton in varying roles of Business Trainer, Administration and Finance, Compliance Officer and Manager.  I have seen the requirements of training and assessment and government funded compliance change many times over the years!

Listening and teamwork are the most important skills I believe I bring to our current team. I am willing to assist my colleagues whenever possible and am always there to listen when they have concerns about work or apprentice issues, or just want to have a ‘chat’.

Currently working from my home office, I am enjoying the experience but also enjoy my visits to the Sunshine Coast.

I can see Demi Apprentices & Trainees building a large, positive presence in South East Queensland and I will continue to work in this great team for the entire journey.

The hairdressing Industry is such a creative, vibrant, social, challenging and ever changing career. That’s why I love it. My true passion lies with teaching and mentoring up and coming apprentices. To witness the transformation and confidence that grows with a student from their sign on to the completion of their apprenticeship is something special. I am looking forward to guiding you through your learning journey

Melissa Hill

I have worked in the hairdressing industry consistently for over 44 years. Originally following the
direction of teaching to offer over 4 decades of experience in the field to our “up and coming”
young stylists.
I believe that consultation and having a thorough understanding of the fundamentals and
foundations of hairdressing is vital for success. Currently working in industry I feel is absolutely
essential as a trainer to remain up to date with the tools and techniques for today’s current
looks. I welcome with open arms, young stylists bringing fresh ideas to the table, whether that
be renaming or reinventing a classic look and giving it a new edge. This is what keeps our
industry alive and exciting. Hairdressing needs to be fun, but it needs to be done and it needs to
be done at a high standard to ensure confidence within the stylist.
I am very passionate about our wonderful industry and maintain a “full on or not on” attitude
when it comes to training. I believe in building a relationship with the students and sharing their
passion to learn whilst making certain they have a complete understanding of each unit to
ensure competency.
It is my pleasure to have been given the opportunity to do so and I look forward to ensuring they
complete their apprenticeship at a high level.
